Retired Charles Evans and ACS teacher, Janice (Warthen) Shockley, is still making Charles Evans a wonderful and unique place for kids! Mrs. Shockley arranged for Jin Nakashima from Noble Research and his wife, Kanoco, to come share information with Charles Evans student, Bobby Thompson. Bobby was very interested in learning more about his heritage and other information about Japan.

AHS Vocal Music

AHS Vocal Music took 10 solos and 3 ensembles to state contest on Thursday, April 19. We had 6 soloists receive Superior ratings and all 3 of our ensembles received Superior ratings! Landon Johnson also took the state Music Theory 2 test and he received a Superior rating! We had 3 soloists receive Excellent ratings and 1 soloist receive a rating of Good.

Tiger Softball News!

Ardmore Softball will be hosting their 3rd annual Tee up Fore Tigers at Lakeview Golf Course on Saturday May 12th with an 8AM Shot Gun Start. There will be door prizes, championship prizes for the 1st place team, and also Luke Bryan tickets will be up for grabs for the putting champ! Lady Tiger Sr. J’Sades Ainsworth

Congrats to Lady Tiger Sr. J’Sades Ainsworth on being named to the Oklahoma Girls Basketball Coaches Association All-State Team! What an Honor ! Dedicated to ACS

We are sure going to miss this guy. Max Chronister has been driving a bus for ACS since 1993. If you were a member of the band, swim team or softball team during the 90’s, chances are Max was your driver. In 2010 he began driving routes, delivering children safely to their school. He just finished driving for the band one last time on March 28th. Max is set to retire on April 6th. Thank you Max for your many years of service to our school district. You will always be in our hearts.

Orchestra students traveled to Durant to compete in the OSSAA District Solo and Ensemble Contest. The students pictured above received a Superior Rating & the AHS students have qualified for State! Great job!
