Welcome Home!

Dear Pride of Ardmore Family,

I’m back! There are many great things happening in the community of Ardmore and Ardmore City Schools!! We are working to positively engage all stakeholders as we embark on this new school year that will be filled with new challenges and amazing opportunities. For those of you I have not had the opportunity to meet, my name is Mr. Chauvin D. Aaron and I am serving in the capacity of Director of Bands and Assistant Director of Fine Arts of Ardmore City Schools.

I am a 2003 graduate of Ardmore High School, a 2008 and 2013 graduate of The University of Oklahoma, and I completed my Principal Certification Program from Lamar University in November 2016. The past nine years I have had the privilege to teach band at Holdenville Public Schools (3 years), Ardmore City Schools (3 years), and O’Banion Middle School in Garland ISD (3 years).

I am so excited to be back home! I am looking forward to working with our administrators, faculty, staff, parents, and students to provide the best experiences for the stakeholders of Ardmore City Schools. The students, parents, teachers, and community of Ardmore deserve the best! We will be reaching out to each of you to help restore our fine arts program to one of the best in the state! Please come meet/visit me on Thursday, July 20th and Friday, July 21st at The Ardmore High School Band Room from 8:00 am-5:00 pm.

There will be many activities starting Monday, July 24th and taking us through Friday, August 11th, the last day of The Pride of Ardmore Summer Band Camp 2017. We are in the process of developing our rehearsals and fun activities for band camp as well as the yearly calendar. I would like to thank Mr. Carter for his commitment as we continue to bring back the tradition of excellence and promote a sense of unity and enthusiasm throughout our band program by participating in school, community, state, and nationwide events.
