The mission of the Oklahoma State Department of Education, is to improve student success through: service to schools, parents and students; leadership for education reform; and regulation/ deregulation of state and federal laws to provide accountability while removing any barriers to student success.
Oklahoma State Regents for Higher Education
With a current enrollment of more than 238,000 students the state system is comprised of 25 colleges and universities and 19 constituent agencies. The State System is coordinated by the Oklahoma State Regents for Higher Education, and each institution is governed by a board of regents.
