Girls on the Run

Jefferson Jewels, 3rd - 5th grade Girls on the Run team! Thursday, all of these dedicated girls completed their practice 5K! Jefferson teacher, Michelle Mette says, "I am so proud of them and wanted to give a shout out for their hard work and dedication to this after school program." Ways to go Girls!!

Charles Evans News!

This week, second grade students from Charles Evans put the reading and math skills they have learned so far into action using pumpkins! During the pumpkin unit students did different activities that included weighing the pumpkin, estimating and counting the number of seeds inside, sequencing the steps of carving a pumpkin and so much more!

Girl Scouts

Nicole Janzen a Americorps Member and Christine Ross from girl Scouts of Western Oklahoma presented to all Lincoln Girls. Third, Fourth, and Fifth grade was presented with the BFF Lesson - Be a Friend First. BFF is designed to build self-confidence, identify and avoid bullying and exclusive behaviors, resolve conflicts, and build trusting relationships with classmates, and feel empowered to create a culture of peace. First and Second Grade girls were presented with a STEM Lesson. The lesson engages with a hands on activity, students in experiments and helps students to explore STEM careers and how scientists can make the world a better place.

Meet senior Football player, Keauveon Wilson

After high school, Wilson would like to attend college for football and pursue a business degree. Keauveon has played for the Ardmore Tigers since middle school. His biggest inspiration for playing football is Barry Sanders. When asked, “Do you have anyone you would like to thank?” Wilson said, “I would like to thank the lord above, and my friends and family for pushing me and helping me achieve getting his far.”

Meet senior Softball Player, Lexi Duff

Lexi’s plans after high school are to play softball for Oklahoma Baptist University where she will also major in biology. Lexi has played for the Lady Tigers ever since she was in middle school. Her biggest inspiration for playing softball is her role model and sister, Charlie Crawford. Lexi is a member of National Honor Society, FCA, and Leaflets. She would like to thank God for giving her the opportunities that he has blessed her with. Also, she would like to thank her friends, family and teammates for supporting her and for being there when she needed them.

Congratulations to The Pride of Ardmore Color Guard for receiving a Superior rating at OSSAA Color Guard Competition and The Pride of Ardmore for receiving Excellent and Good ratings at OSSAA Regional Marching Contest in Lawton on Tuesday, October 10th! We are proud of The Pride of Ardmore and their tremendous growth through this marching season!!

CE LOVE'S AHS SOFTBALL!

Charles Evans students and teachers worked together making signs, goody bags and banners to show off their support this morning for the Softball send off! The Lady Tiger's bus drove by Charles Evans first, where they were greeted by lots of Tiger Fans. Charles Evans Principal, Mrs. Brunk says, "It was a special celebration especially considering that 6 of the 21 lady softball team were CE students." Go Lady Tigers - Charles Evans is cheering hard for all of you!

After High School, Chantz plans to further his education and attend college. His family inspired him to be competitive in sports. Football is his favorite sport, but he is also involved in Wrestling and is a member of the Tiger Track Team.
